Fall Semester Kickoff
CAL will kickoff its 2025 Fall Semester term on Thursday, August 21 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the education wing of the clubhouse. Come converse with facilitators of the various courses being offered during the term. Ask questions. Gather information. Get help at the Help Desk if needed. Mix and mingle with your neighbors! 2025 Fall Semester Course Registration Timeline
Online registration for the 2025 Fall Semester Term will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Courses will be available for preview at the CourseStorm website two weeks prior to this date. The registration period will be open for one week after that date. You can visit the CourseStorm to sign up for courses only when the registration period is open. Free CAL Pop-Up Classes
Pop-Up classes are classes that just pop up as topics of interest are discovered in our community. They are one session only, two-hour free events that take place generally at the clubhouse.
Registration is recommended but not required. Drop-ins are welcome on a space available basis. Pop-Ups Coordinator Darrah Yates begins taking email reservations 2 weeks prior to a scheduled event.

In this era of "fake news" and dissatisfaction with the news media, this class will provide an interactive forum in which to talk about how new stories are pursued, verified, and green lit for print or broadcast publication.
